The Association for the Development of the Person-Centered Approach (ADPCA) has been bringing together the international person-centered community since its first annual conference in 1986, inspired by the work and philosophy of Carl R. Rogers.
The annual ADPCA conference is scheduled for 2026 on the beautiful island of Samothrace, marking the first time it will be held in Greece. It represents a unique opportunity for members of the international person-centered community to be part of the Conference's large community meetings and experience the representing Conference's theme "Sharing, Connecting, Belonging".

Over the past four decades, ADPCA Conferences have become a unique meeting place for professionals, educators, researchers, students, and all those interested in the ongoing development of the Person-Centered Approach. Each conference is hosted by a local organizing committee and reflects the values of the Person-Centered Approach, emphasizing authenticity, dialogue, collaboration, and respect for each individual's experience. Rather than following a rigid structure, ADPCA Conferences encourage active participation, shared responsibility, and the emergence of ideas through genuine encounter.
